This shows the danger of democratic imperialism. Mr. Bush has spent
much time discussing how he believes that the US has the moral
obligation to spread liberty.
That obligation must, therefore, take the US to Ukraine which Sec
Powell recently declared had a fraudulent election. Unfortunately
I'm looking at putting together a new pc from New Egg. I was looking
at the Atholon XP but I'm not sure what the difference in performance
would be between the Atholon XP 2000 up thru the 2700.
Once I figure this out I get to choose the motherboard and case.

Get something that is 64 bit. They have memory protection that works wonders
against
Are there any 64 bit compatibility issues? Also, If all my apps are 32
bit including my OS, am I going to get any benefit?
I didn't think I would get muc of a boost with the 64 bit when playing
HalfLife 2. Did I say playing? I ment when I'm working.

There are no compatibility issues.
The Athlon 64 line of processors are the fastest processors out there, nothing
Intel makes can come close to the top Athlon 64s and
FX chips.
And the Athlon 64s are cheaper than comparably performing Intel processors.
There is no disadvantage to the Athlon 64
All I can afford would be the AMD Athlon 64 2800+, 512KB L2 Cache,
64-bit Processor It has to be faster than my 1.6 Ghz P4

I have only used Tyan, Abit, and Asus boards. What I recommend is going with
Abit as they have a great customer service

It's like telling them not to eat.

I'm actually putting together a P4 system right now
I've done some research and figure I could save ~$700 a year if I were to
move my development hosting (and a few unimportant sites ) in-house. The
major up-front costs would be a machine.
Generally I've only delt w/ desktop machines when it comes to buying /
