Ok, so my wife just read an article about some group of benefactors
that are effectively giving scholarships to graduates of Kalamazoo
high schools.
Paying for our kids educations is one of her bigger stressors...so
she's actually pretty interested in the possibility of moving
to..Kalamazoo.

It really is an awesome process. If you donate whole blood you have to
wait 8 weeks between donations. But with Apherisis (the process you
experienced) you can donate as often as every 3 days depending on what
products they are removing from your blood. I was donating 2-3 units

I am half way through it. It is a good book so far.
If you are in the IT industry, you should probably read it. You will be able
to identify the building blocks that have led to a "flat world" easier than
