Not that bad, you could drive there in about 5 or 6 hours. At least the weather
wasn't like when I was living up in Dewar Lakes on Elsmere Island. It snowed at
the end of July there.

That's the basic B&D steam iron I bought twenty-five years ago, and it
finally gave out a few months ago, so we got the B&D Digital Advantage, and
it's wonderful.
I'd say that 25 years is a reasonable lifetime for an inexpensive iron, eh?

I would recommend the mid to high end Phillips or T-Fal without hesitation.
Mom is a big fan of Phillips as well. Heard good things about Rowenta as
well. I know walmart carried the mid end phillips at one time.

I have a small Black & Decker Iron that was a Christmas gift from 20
years ago. It is a right-bloody workhorse.
It has a simple steam device and no other bells and/or whistles.
Thanks guys. It looks like Consumer reports also recommends the B&D
irons.

I have to agree. I used to use Yahoo but the spam filter was horrible.
Then I actually paid my $20.00 for a year's subscription to their

I have to agree with most of the others in praising the spam filtering.
gmail has by the far the best spam filtering I have ever seen, though I

I bought a Black and Decker steam iron. What I like about it is:
1. It is not cordless
2. It does not leak
3. It has a power steam button that shoots a huge blast of steam for
stubborn wrinkles and collars
4. It has an adjustable steam setting.
5. The surface is extremely smooth and seems impervio
My wife does not iron. Unfortunately, she's always the one who buys
the irons. So far she's 0/5. The latest one she got was a "Homewell"
cordless iron that 1) sucks because you have to keep putting it back
on the cradle because it looses heat quickly, 2) sucks because it
leaks water all
