Back in 2001, the cost for one gallon of liquid O2 was $2.85. The cost for a
gallon of liquid H2, $.98.
To burn the engine for one minute, you will need about 5800 gallons of
liquid O2 and 15700 gallons of liquid H2.
About $32,000 to burn the engine for one minutes... pocket change...LOL

I don't think that is a *model* rocket anymore, unless you have somebody
like Hiedi Klum sitting in it.

and get it where it needs to go."
This could be much more depending on how far one is from the closest
major airport.
If that is too much, one might consider just a shuttle main engine for
$400,000 to $800,000 each, which is separate from the price of the
shuttle itself.

I was considering just installing it in the middle of the block of
neighbors, and then routing some heat tubes under all the houses so that I
could do a cost/sharing more environmental kind of think with it... I wonder
what a gallon of rocket fuel costs?

Rocket fuel prices are coming down, too, so this could be a very prudent
purchase. Let us know how it goes.

That should be plenty for one or more of the engines. Wouldn't that
look great in the corner of the living room. I'm sure it goes with
*any* decor.

S
Head First is awesome especially for someone who knows the fundamentals (ie
what is a method, what is an integer, etc) and the Netbeans IDE is also
very user-friendly.

I am basically going to use it to send data using API's in some software
products that all I know right now is they are JAVA API's.. I haven't
figured out how I'm sending or all the specifics.. I have to relearn my java
first..
