Laptop had two 256 mb sticks in it but windows showed 384. Put in a gig stick, so 1 gig plus 256, showed 1.12 gigs. gig stick alone shows 896. Tried different slots, flashed the bios. Is it being reserved for video memory or something? Bad memory slot? ~~~
