Whoa...The CF verify just worked as long as I enter in "localhost" under "MySQL host
(name or IP). Why won't it work if I enter in the computer name or IP address?

WHen I use MySQL-Front I can connect (using the IP) to all my databases and do queries
on them. Still CF won't verify the database I created under the ODBC Data Source
Administrator. This is really frustrating me because it works at home no problem. It
took me 10 minutes to install and configure

When I got home after work I installed MySQL on my box and it went without a glitch. I
was able to add a database and verify it no problem.
Wiped up some CF code to read and display the database results. It flies
For some unknown reason I can't get it to work at "work". CD Administrator sees
OK.
I've installed the mySQL ODBC driver and mySQL v3.23.52. I added a mySQL datasource
under the "User DSN" tab.
I then created a name "alias" under the "System DSN" tab for my database I created
using mySQL-Front.
WHen I try to add this to the CF Administrator when I try to verify I get an er

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've check the DOC but I can't seem to import a
comma-delimited text file exported from Access into mySQL.
I've created the database, table and fields. WHen I do a Import texfile everything
looks OK via MySQL-Front. My text file contains only commas as delimite
OK...I know...read the docs.
Is there a PDF version available for download?

OK...I'm getting there. I have the service running. I've created my database and table
with MySQL-Front. I'm in the process of creating the fields but I'm stuck on what type
from the Field-Properties, Length/Set and Default Value to select.
Also Table-Type?
Options are:
Automatic (by default)

Hi,
I'm having a little trouble.
I've installed mySQL. I've started the service via WinMySQL admin. I was able to
create my databases.
I also installed MySQL-Front and DBTools. The problem is when I startup any of the
tools and try to create a connection I get a MySQL Error -
COnnection failed
I have this line in my application.cfm file.
Then in my index.cfm (which can get reloaded multiple times during a session) reads
from a database and does some stuff based on the session.initialCodeRun.
Here is my code:
SELECT strField1
Hi,
I was using Acess but have now installed mySQL for Windows. I'm a little confused on
how to create a database. With Access its a snap but there are no tools for me to
create the databases?
I need help!
