I really do not like the ads in the middle of the thread postings. It
disrupts your focus on the item. I think I'd be less likely to visit
HOF if this was implemented.

IMO it's actually less obtrusive than the layout that you have there
now, it's easy to see or skip depending on the time the reader has...
