I have a 6700 (VZW or PPC), and I really like it, but when I saw this
things features I said, "a, yeah!" As soon as version 2 comes
out I'll get one. The software is totally killer. This product is
going to go gang busters if they can get more carriers
treo 750 is nice. I'd like to get one of those
blackjacks. The MS rep was showing it off, and it is nice.

In these pics and descriptions this phone looks totally kick ass:

heh. remember the screens on the first nanos? they'd scratch if you
so much as looked at them. Apple didn't want to acknowledge the
problem at first, but eventually did after much public outcry.

Um, you mean unlike the lawsuits, recalls, and rebate programs over the
early iPods?

But you had problems with the xbox. That is a hardware problem (which is
what I thought the topic was). We were not talking (I don't think) about the
service after a hardware problem, just the reliability of the hardware
itself.
My first xbox had a cd-rom read error. So I sent it in to get fixed.

hrmmm... I bought an xbox exactly 32 days before the initial price
break I think it was $299
It still hums along no problems whatsoever. They sent me a new power
cable in October of 2005 (I think) but that's the only issue I've
had--and that wasn't even an issue because I don'
Can you say xbox? can you sy xbox 360? can you say optical mouse? I've had
more hardware failures from MS hardware than I have from all other companies
combined in my life.
(Course, I bought the 360 anyway.)

You mean Dell and Apple :)
Apple did a recall on iPod and laptop batteries. They were using the same
laptop batteries from Sony Dell was using.

Yes, they did. As for reliability of MS stuff, this is the first time
they've done a similar device with the Zune. They other hardware products
like keyboards and mice have been the best one I've ever had.

Too reliable? What about the lawsuit against apple for purposefully making
products that would break after the warranty was up so people would have to
upgrade?

You mean like Dell. Over all Apple systems have lead the industry in
reliability and consumer satisfactio
I'm still running on the battery I got with mine in 1999. Still charges
fine.

Not that I am arguning that M$ equipment is any better...

Why. Apple systems have been extremely reliable and durable. Unlike M$ based
crud.

So, I continue to insist: IT'S THE SOFTWARE. Apple is a software
company and their products are all about software wrapped in a sleek
package.
(full disclosure: I bought apple at $14 per share pre split ... BWAH HA HA!)

I see you haven't changed much ;)

I think fingerworks keyboards were the first multitouch interfaces...
I haven't seen anything beond that which would allow multitouch. They

Not in business anymore but their website is still up.

I know that Jobs mentioned it earlier, but now it appears that is is more
than just hype and will be a reality very soon. I will not get one though
since I use Nextel, but if I were a Cingular customer, I might have looked
into it. It is pretty slick though.
