I would, personally, rather fall back on perl, foxpro, c++, c, director,
even assembler.
Not because of the language itself, but mainly for the types of projects

the types of people that come along with .net work.

Assembler kicks ass. About a year ago I had a side gig working with
assembler. The guy I did the work for had created a slick little tool
