My friend bought some with funky kangaroos on the label. She said it
was pretty good. I guess you just need to pick cooler animals than quail.

Generally when we go wine shopping, we'll pick up a bottle or two that we've
had before and know that we like. A bottle or two of wines that have been
recommended by friends/acquaintances, a bottle or two with a high rating on
it (87+ on the "wine tasters scale" or whatever

In honor our illustrious vice president, my wife and I downed a bottle of Covey
Run merlot last night. I pick out new wines by their label (seems as good as
any other method) and it had a cool picture of these little quails running
around.
Unfortunately, the wine wasn't very good...and we've bo
