Every time he launched one of those things, my buddy and I would shout out
"Bernie!!!", as in Bernie Kosar from the original Tecmo Bowl game.
Remember him? His passes would rainbow out of the screen, and not return for
what seemed like hours. By the time they did, your guy was covered and the
pass

What was up with Grossman's "rainbow" passes...sheesh, of course it's gonna
be intercepted, you're giving the defense 25 seconds to get underneath the

In the first quarter, Peyton was duped into several bad throws, one of which
was picked off, and two others that SHOULD have been picked off. If the
Bears could have converted those turnovers, the game may have unfolded
completely differently.
After halftime, Dungy made the strategic decision to r

Really? Manning not only owns the offense, he o
Only to the amateur viewer is it difficult to spot the one-on-one mind games
that go on during a football game.
This super bowl featured two of the more..."animated"...field generals in
Peyton Manning and Brian Urlacher. I thought watching their pre-snap
formation changes was just as interesting a

Huh, I'd never heard of a football square. Sounds cool though.
I do like to gamble, actually, but not so much just placing straight bets. I
like pools, pick'ems, knockouts, things like that.
Oh, and every year I put $10 on the Royals to win the AL pennant. Think I
got 125-1 odds this year.

He did something his father never could... Lead a tema to and win the
Superbowl. Most of Louisiana is glowing today. Most of us watched him grow up
and play highschool ball. We were a bit pissed when he went to Tennessee
though. Even Ole Miss would have been better. ;)

It was sloppy, but that was the great part! Tons of pressure, sloppy
conditions - these are the makings of a great game.
It's interesting because football is the only team sport I like. In

I know you have seen them, I just don't know what you'd call them in this
context...football squares?
You know, like this:
You create a 10 X 10 grid, people pay, say, 10 buck s per square, fill in
their name in the squares. When all squares are filled, you draw numbers
and write them down the le
So explain to a gambling amateur what a square pool is???

I was not aware of the Puppy Bowl...wait, actually, now it's coming back to
me. Dammit. I *know* that Prince would have paled in comparison.
Grossman should have been pulled. I think that would have been classic.
Stupid Vinateiri. I had 4-9 in my square pool, and he missed that field
goal at
I enjoyed the game, actually. I thought the first quarter was awesome...with
the kick return and the 53 yard TD pass, etc. Things bogged down a little
bit after thatbut I thought playing the game in a downpour made for some
interesting football.
Rex Grossman is every bit as bad as I thought he

I was bored to tears and actually fast-forwarded to the commercials at some
points.
Prince wasn't that bad, surprisingly!
