can you just set up an odbc connection to the doc & iport the data from it
with out using excel.

I have an excel 2003 document that has apassword on it. as soon as I double
click it tells me document is protected enter password. Woman doesn't know,
her usual passes don't work. 4 utilities on internet that I've seen don't
work. Can't get access or sql server to import cause of the protection.
