The Cloud, marketing fuzziness aside, is very different then just the
interwebs and hosted email. If you take a look at Microsoft's Azure
offering (the one I am most familiar with working at Microsoft) you can
really get a handle on how different it is, and can be and will be in the

Heh. Says you. ;) I'm pretty sure I've had all the "cloud" has to
offer for a while now.

Also - I've got a few clients who are not sure they are ready to move yet.
I've been advising them to go ahead and sign up anyway. You don't have to
change your dns or activate the email part right away, but they will still get

I've been on the internet and loving it for a couple decades now I
reckon. Is the cloud something like that? ;)

Yeah, I've been racing around trying to figure out who needs to sign up now
and who can wait. I think there's only a few companies left that need to be
moved.

Anywho, I highly recommend signing up, if only for the gmail goodness. Even
if you don't have a business. It's funny how much geek cred you get when
you own your own domain. Te

FYI - if you are planning on using Google apps on your domain, and you are
thinking about it, now is the time to signup. Looks like you have till May
