If you have a mac there are two that are very good, TextWrangler with full colour coding and syntax highlighting and Texttastic, with the same and adds a lot of other bells and whistles For the PC there's NotePad++. While out of the box it has nothing for CF, Brian Malone has a good blog posting

I'm working on an older machine. I've picked up some side work and I'm trying to get up to speed. I was an eclipse guy and homesite/Studio before that. All I really need is color coding, insight would be nice but not required. What's out there? 32 bit Win XP? ~~~
