I still have a "chrome pizza player" - the original 12" digital LaserDisc.
Standard mode had only 30 minutes per side, extended play mode 60 minutes
per side.
My "whiz bang" player has "auto flip" - changes sides by itself.
But of course you don't really "flip" a disk that big - the who

My problem with the biggers sets is the disk swapping - the film will be
on 2 DVDs, and I HATE swapping mid-movie
Then again, to have all of the commentaries, it needs to be on 2 disks -
with the film being about 3 hou

watch Tolkien's Hobbits on the DVD :-)
The Hobbit was intended to be a children's story. LOTR
trilogy is definitely for adults. But they let me read
it too.

There's a 6 DVD version out later in the year as well, but the 4 and 6
DVD versions have the film split over 2 disks, so it turns into Sw
