Ray,
I agree that it is very usable, but the question was asked for a 64bit HTML
Editor as the title implies.

Doesn't that make it only half as bold?

I'm not so sure about that. Have you seen xRefresh or LiveReload. Great
for dual monitor setups. Open a browser on one screen. Open a text editor
on the other screen. Make your mods and watch as the changes are reflected
live in the browser. Blows any wysiwyg browser out of the water.
On T
+1 on DW as an HTML editor. There isn't anything even in the same

I would just go with Eclipse and Aptana...even if she doesn't need the rest
of the functionality that Eclipse provides...it's a good interface.

Just because it is a 64-bit OS doesn't mean that you need a 64-bit
editor unless you need to allocate large amounts of ram to open huge
files. I'd have her stick with what she knows. If she really does
decide to try something new, I'd go for Aptana. For html, css and js,
it is really quite nice. I
I see homesite plus 5.1 all over the place. It needs the upgrade to
5.5 plus, but that's on the adobe site.

The hard part is finding Homesite+ 5.5. V5 is easy to find... or so I've

There are places where you can download homesite along with it's
serial. I'm not suggesting this, but... :)
I'm using CFB as long as the trial runs on the particular machine I'm
on at the time. With homesite still useful, the cost to upgrade to CFB
just isn't in my budget.

I'd look at the Aptana product. Like CFB (which includes Aptana), it
can be used as either stand alone or a plugin. So she could install it
and never really know she was using Eclipse. It's HTML/JS support is
pretty good.
Also... consider Dreamweaver. I know most folks poopoo it, but it

Homesite+?
I lost homesite on my last machine upgrade, and switched to eclipse per
company policy, but really miss the smooth operation.
(Eclipse still dies on my a couple of times a week, I have to erase my
workbench, and when I do, I lose all RDS settings).
I have been using notepad++ lately
