Actually Ford has a couple Fuel Cell cars in road tests now, as well as a
couple other technologies they are working on. (Ford Focus FCV and the Ford
P2000) Range is about 100 miles.

Apparently there is an engineer in Vancouver or
Victoria BC that has developed a hydrogen engine for
motor vehicles and they ARE being used on city buses
out there., The engine breaks the bond in the H2O
molecule, burns the Hydrogen and the waste product
isH2O. Too cool or what? But
Have heard of this before, I hadn't heard it was in use.
Also, Mercedes Benz has a hybrid Fuel Cell/Petrol engine that is giving just
about the same Power and acceleration as a petrol only engine.
THis could go into full production in the next 5 years or so, and is clean
