It slows down. My grandfather is in his 90's and till a year or 2 ago he had a very 'vigorous' lifestyle with younger women (50-60). When he kind of stopped dating, we knew it was time to worry. I've got to get down to Florida soon. Sooner than later. :( On the other hand, I'm sure there are people

I go boating and camping a lot now ... And skiing! :D When I can. Other than that - gardening and various other boring hobbies no one cares about. If I stay off the roads, and practice safe boating and don't ski in the trees - I should be ok! :D Cheers, Erika

I'd say it gives you a decent shot barring stupidity on your part or a bolt out of the blue. I was noticing that on my mother's side all the women lived to be at least 80 whereas the men died early of heart problems. My 87-yo great aunt attributes this to smoking. They are still working out what t

Right. Environmental factors beyond genetics. Erika sounds like she has some long living genes from both sides and should normally live long. The question is, what does she do (baking reams of muffins, riding horses, etc.) that may change that? > Nuitrition is also a strong determinant of height.

Nuitrition is also a strong determinant of height. I remember reading about one study that compared Japanese Americans to their parents and grandparents. On the average the Niesi were significantly taller than either parents or grandparents - the main difference was in nutrition. larry On Mon, 3

Maybe, maybe not. My mother is 4'1". My genetic father is about the same height. I'm 5'7.5" and my brother is at least 5'10". Genetics is a good start, but there are so many other factors like sitting for hours in front of a radiation source. :) > -Original Message- > From: Erika L. Walker
