Oh, now I understand! I agree with Erika, too, no spiders in CF-Community. I
don't care about my employer finding anything here, but I'll have to review my
posts before I run for Congress ;-).

It's a stopgap measure until I can go and alter the archives to make one
private and another public. Once I get it all done I'll have names back on.
If you want, I can give you a gmail account for list archiving until then.

I'm working on it. Step by step we'll get to a closed CF-Community and an open
CF-OT for off topic posts. I've got to try and make some money first thing,
then do major changes to the site. To make an archive viewable for members only
involves more than a single change. It touches many aspects i

Yeah, we wanted it so that when spoke his mind, or *** went
off on a blue streak, it wouldn't freak out the employers, family, etc.
So, changed the archives so that when you post, your name
doesn't show up. In other words, no we're not messing with you. Well,

It should be able to be kept from the Search Engines - but still usable
by members.
Lots of other lists do this. It's basic functionality.

no! :)
Seriously, we had a little discussion here last week that we didn't want
the cf-comm posts to be google indexed. some of us, ahem, don't speak
as freely as we would normally if we knew that the convo wasn't being
archived. So Mikey asked if we blanked out the names of the posting if
Unfortunately - and as much as I want to say thanks - that's not really
good enough.
Signatures are still in place and certain responses and terms can be
spidered and tracked.
Thanks but no thanks?
A bit harsh - I'm sorry Mikey - you know I love you, but it really
would be BEST if you close off
I cannot see them either; was this really a request?
I don't like it at all. I use HoF solely via archives.
I'll admit that I don't like finding tons of HoF posts when I google myself,
but it's a tradeoff IMO.
