Yeah, i received my parts and got a days with if flying in then the main shaft
motor went out, waiting for parts from Houston. I think I'll order extra parts
now that i know what usually breaks/goes out and keep them in hand. Where I
work on fort Benning I have LOTS of open space to fly. I'm jo
it was windy this weekend, but dry. I probably shouldn't have tried flying
in the wind, but damnit...it was dry!
Anyway, I'm awaiting replacement parts from China today. :(
Stupid rookie mistake of dropping the left stick when I thought the heli
was heading towards danger.

Its actually nit that difficult to fly but i just tend to forget that when its
flying towards me everything is backwards. I usually fly outside. I will on
occasion fly it inside to annoy my wife. I did manage to get it from the dining
room, down the hall, around a corner and upstairs into my ma
it's come down so much nowadays...That Master CP I got was an RTF kit with
a 7ch 2.4Ghz controller. Heli and controller was $200. I had to add
batteries which are pretty cheap too, but that's really it.
Gone are the days of the several hundred dollar Futaba controllers. Futaba
is still around,
that UJ 303 looks like a pretty good size to learn on. I would suggest the
V911 if you want to have something that can easily fly inside. Usually can
get them for about $30 with controller and $20 as a bnf.

That's been my impression. I rather like the idea of using an iPhone
or Android to control it. When I was into RC model aircraft the RC
equipment was nuts.

If I get another multirotor, it will be something similar to this:

It's been my experience that most of your time as an RC Heli flyer is spent
waiting on parts ;)

Well I have to get control of the one I have. I can now get it to do a
reasonable hover and do basic flight. I still manage to crash it a couple times
each flight though. I don't remember what it is. A uj 303 by yoboo I think.
It's at home now which sucks because I like flying it at the ranges
warning...that video can induce nausea!

I got my first collective pitch heli for xmas. Haven't been able to fly it
yet for lack of all parts. My last part is coming in today so I should be
good to go. At least for one flight ;)
I actually have a fleet now:
DH 9100 - (3 channel toy - my first one that sparked the obsession)
WLToys -
What do you fly? My wife bought me a 4 channel fixed pitch helicopter. It's my
first one and I am still learning. It's a hoot to fly though.
