Completely off topic, but there is a Bible translation that relocates
all the locations to the US. I think its called the Cotton Belt Bible.
It is evident that the author(s) have very little understanding of the
meaning of the texts quoted from the Bible. I wonder if they actually read
it, or just portions of it.

I can't comment on the Jesus part, because I haven't gotten that far
in the Bible, but there was a lot of God telling people to kill people
in the Old Testament.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's Jesus stuff that could be used to
say, "hey, we can do what we're doing because of [X]".
