I was the type of RA that didn't give you a hard time if you didn't give
me a reason too. For instance, if you want to have some buddies over and
drink and order some food and watch movies, play play station, or have a
big orgy with the womans lacrosse team, no problem... just don't give me
a reason to come knocking on the door.
I never understood why people in college felt the need to act so
ridiculous. Seriously, common sense goes a long way. Those with common
sense could handle the situations, even if they were not old enough
while the other hald acted stupid and follish. The stupid and foolish
were the ones I wrote up, usually football players and other jocks. :-)

Sometimes it is very hard to clear the airway... especially
with things
like popcorn, not slick like a piece of meat or fruit. I
remember almost
choking to death in college. Just enjoying a nice monday night
football
game with ym buddy while I was on duty (RA) and we ordered a
pizza. Got
a piece of crust stuck in my throat and couldn't breathe AT
ALL! About
20 seconds into the ordeal I had enough pressure in my stomach
to force
it up, but it was not pretty; I gouged the linig of my throat
and it
bled for hours... and it hurt like hell... not too mention how
scary
that is. My buddy reamined calm and kept me calm, we knew what
to do...
fortunately, he didn't have to assist other than keeping me
calm.
