My mum had a similar experience, her sister-in-laws PC was infected with
several trojans and a brand new only used it for a week e-mail address
started to receive spam within days of the trojan infection becaus

Try setting up a "whitelist" of email addresses you'll allow her to
recieve on your mailserver. Also, what's she using for a POP/IMAP
client? Most of that spam gets deep-sixed by FireFox, but that wouldn't
be necessary with a whitelist, which is virtually impregnable.

Well. the sleazballs, even if they did care, can't tell if it's an adult or
child being sent to. The current mail system just doesn't support any sort
of demographic or metrics information in connection with addresses.
