nope...by the time i'd heard of it, it had been on for a while. generally, i don't like watching shows unless I catch 'em from the beginning. also, at first, i thought it was just one of a million other E.R. / L.A. Law / etc clones (not saying it was...that was just my assumption at the time) :\
