was people taking the summer off, but still. I dunno about the licensing, but

Not sure what happened to cisco... I'll take a guess and say the enrollments
were low, and the licensing cost an arm and a leg... something like that.
Maybe that's why we're doing the Apple certs now? Hummm... I'll have to ask.
Thanks for the info on the acronym. Hadn't seen it 'fore.

oh man you do a LOT of subnetting. You don't survive the first couple of
semesters if you don't get it down. There are shortcuts however. Learning your

Mmmm... I never took our cisco class, so I don't know how DNS really works.
I was under the impression that it started out with an IP address, and the rest
was some black art. Just thinking plain TCP/IP stuff, no fancy dhcp or wins or
whatnot.

the name server is on the same subnet. Usually, in dialup. I'm aware that this

Niet! (no, not the band ;).
As for the name server name... how would the name server look up it's
name if it was a name? ;-)
DNS is pretty funky.. amazing we've made it this long!
Black magic, I tell ya...

Well this is for home, which is Albuquerque. The Santa Fe place has Albuquerque
numbers. I looked at swcp but eliminated them early on because their dialup
accounts charge by the hour after a certain number of hours. Me + 2 teens means
that's not good for us.

This is why I used to keep a list of DNS IPs in my wallet. Whenever I
went to a client's, I could get them connected (if not necessarily
