That's why I had my Rottie Kirke trained in police-dog training when

Your dogs are more of a deterrent than your guns...because the would be
invaders will know you have dogs long before they know you have guns.
In fact, they probably won't know you have guns...until it's to late!
The dog is the deterrent...the gun is in case the deterrent doesn't work.
On Nov 21,

No. Not even close. We live in the high desert near a town called
Victorville. It is a small tri-community area. All of the land where I
live is subdivided into 2 1/2 acre lots so we are pretty spread out. It
is a very rural area. Go to one of the satellite imaging sites (Google,

Well, let's see. We have lived where we do for over 20 years, and not a
single attempt at a break-in. In fact, many people in our community own
guns, and all of the people that we know have never had a single problem
with break-ins. So maybe just the fact that people know that those of us

How has your gun ownership "prevented" anything? Can burglars sense that you
might own a gun, so they go to the next house?
