Everything Jim said is 100% true. And most definitely take time off of
work. I laid in bed for the entire day with an ice pack on the boys and
took three extra days off laying around watching TV. Went back to work

I have to say -- I had to give up sodas a while back when I was taking
medication that dehydrates you (that and coffee) and it was bit
tough, but once I was off the stuff, I never went back. I did
gleefully recommence drinking coffee once I got the go-ahead, but I
figure I am entitled to some vice
I've given up everything fun or good tasting at this point I swear.
I get drunk once every year or two. Don't drink mountain dew (or any
soda) anymore, no green stuff anymore, eat straight, and work out 5 days
a week.

I think you are looking for a different sort of detox, e.g. Goldenseal root,
etc. I don't think this diet does anything specific to remove those sorts of
toxins from your system. It is more intended as a flush for the digestive
tract. Yes, all other sorts of weird stuff comes out of you (your tongu

Good luck Charlie!
I brought up the Master Cleanse diet. My wife and I did it over the holidays
and it worked well for us.
On the liquids issue, if you do all of the optional things, it can be a
little icky. The things that are tough:
- 32 oz hot salt water drink in the morning
- Tastes almos

Yah, but on top of the no soy/no dairy restrictions he's already
under, it's making cooking a real PITA. And, it's one thing to cook
food with no dairy (we can eat like that), but this means cooking him
whole different meals, because I'm NOT going back to white flour
fluff. *sigh*

There's a lot of evidence that this kind of fasting actually makes
weight loss harder. Your body is going to drop muscle during this,
which is going to slow your metabolism, so that when you start eating

Charles' sister has done this, but found it too hard to keep going because
it made her gag to drink the required liquids.
