Yeah, snail mail spam is stealing my time, as silly as that sounds, it is

Lazy? HA! How about all the orgs and others who are too lazy to find out if
people want their crap in their mailbox to begin with! That lazy argument is

That's the thing, enough people will NOT take the time to do that because
they feel like I do; they shouldn't have to take time out of their day to
deal with crap they didn't ask for n

I usually do not send it empty. I put all the stuff they sent me, plus
whatever other junk mail came that day that will fit in the envelope.
THEN I send it back, ensuring my address isn't anywhere on anything that
I sent or on the ouotside. Hopefully they get charged the extra weight

Of course

Quite often actually. In fact some orgs and companies make it quite easy,
however many do not, which is why a central do-not-mail registry would come
in handy

The best idea I've heard was from A Real People segment some 20 plus years ago. This person was heating his home by burning his junk mail in a high efficiency stove. He actually used aliases to get even more mail and there where occasionally useful samples as a bonus.

The difference being with junk mail is that the mailer has to pay for it,
even at bulk mail prices that costs a lot more than electronic spam.
Besides do what I do, whenever there's a prepaid reply envelope in the
package, send it back to the mailer, empty. They still have to pay for it.

Would you rather chuck some junk mail or pay $5/stamp? The USPS makes most
of its money on bulk mail.
