I went to school for massage therapy several years ago and we did some
Reiki, that was my only exposure to it, not sure if I can answer all the
questions you may have but might be able to answer some.

I have a friend who is a Reiki master. Apparently some places give away
level one certification with little practical requirements, so be sure who
you are dealing with. I do tend to agree with Tony's assessment, but it is
growing in popularity around here. I say any healing thing is worth a try
I never was able to get into the whole Reiki thing.
We had to do these exercises where you were supposed to feel the energy
flow going through you and all around you, but I never felt anything.
Everyone else in my class said they could feel it.

does it physically do anything, maybe not, but if the
physical change is due to a mental effect, then that's GOOD!
