How to Choose a Telescope
Like choosing neighborhoods, automobiles, or spouses, buying a first telescope

The guy said that even the lowest powered telescopes would let you see the

ones were just less fuzzy.
With my little 3in Newtonian reflector telescope I could get a pretty decent
amateur view of Saturn. I could see it

with a good set of binoculars you should be able to see the rings. So
unless its a very small telescope you should have no problems.

Actually you do want a good quality set of binoculars. Aiming, and keeping on
target, a telescope at a moving terrestrial object would not be an exercise
that I would want to engage in.
Just a quick 30 second google to get a starting point on types.

Anyone own a telescope? I am looking to buy one as a gift and am
wondering what kind of power would be needed to casually look at birds

the beings on Mars.
Any brands you'd recommend? Any I should stay away from?
