I was talking to a potential host.
They told me they wouldn't set me up with an account until I transferred
my domain.
Am I missing something or is this completely idiotic?
I told them I wouldn't transfer the domain until I was able to set-up and
test the site on their servers.

They offer a specific CMS service to people that host with them. I wanted to
evaluate those services before deciding to host with them. I think my mistake was to
tell them that.
They have been less than helpful.
This is my first time posting through Michael's web interface.
I'll set you up with hosting and i dont care what you do with it :)

Jeff,
You should always be able to setup an account without transferring the
domain.
They will either give you an IP to access your site or a virtual URL to
it.
That's standard procedure.
If they insist ... Find another host.
Cheers,
Erika
