If you've got eclipse, hell, there's some kick-ass compare stuff built right in! You can install the Remote System Explorer and get access to FTP/SFTP, etc.. Plus, it will keep a record of what you changed locally, that you can see at a glance. I loves it, but I use it for source code mostly, du

I've long been a fan of Beyond Compare by Scooter Software. http://www.scootersoftware.com/ It's not free, but the 25-30 dollars I paid for it was always worth it. Looks like the next version will have a 'Pro' level going for $50. ~~~
