I use winamp to feed the stream. (I am using shoutcast at the moment, but they are compatible servers)
What platform? If you are on some flavor of Unix (like Mac OS X), you could use the iceplay streamer.

Anyone here run icecast? I've got the server installed, and confirmed by
viewing the stats, but can't seem to figure out how to open an actual mp3,
or where you even define it. Ie, if my mp3s are in g:\music, how do I
request that via the mp3 player?
