SAN FRANCISCO Faced with the discovery of a serious flaw in the
Internet's workings, computer
This DNS vulnerability is mostly patched, though there are always some
holdouts. Check out this animation of the patch as it progressively
gets installed over the past month or so. You can see the time zone
move across the map from east to west each day and the patching
activity move with it.

permits hackers to force people to visit websites they didn't want to,
it also allows them to intercept email messages, the researcher who
discovered the bug
