Verizon has been dropping fiber in certain areas right to peoples
homes. I think it's available in Tampa, among other areas... they're
fitting new developments with ALL fiber.
Now that's high speed home internet access!

That would be 6 Megabits. Or about 100x 56k dialup.

Is it possibly a type? ADSL2 is not even close to ethernet 10/100baseT...
Unless this is the technology used to compress dialups to make them upto 19x
faster, using a standard modem Can't say I have heard of mps...
