I've ripped about 3000 CDs to iTunes over the last 18 months. It's
not a big deal to do.
If you have the music already on your hard drive, you can simply tell
iTunes to load the file or load an entire folder into iTunes by
selecting which option you want from the File menu, which you can then
syn
yeah you can play MP3, AAC etc on the ipod as long as they are DRM
free or purchased at itunes.

It's an iPod..itunes is the standard.
if you ever want to actually Purchase albums and MP3s etc. though, you
should look into Amazon's MP3 download service, which does not force
any DRM on the downloaded files.

programs to do it. iTunes would be overkill for just ripping, but if you
want to also organize you mp3's, iTunes would be a good answer.

i am thinking of getting my wife a touch as a belated birthday present.
job provides a little cash now..
so what is the best way to rip our cd collection to mp3?
will itunes look up a cd and assign tracks there names & such?
does any software do this?
