advil in a few minutes. Then maybe a sleeping pill and 4 hours (yes, that's
all a sleeping pill does for me)

whenever I get a pinched nerve it usually goes away with heat and
sleep, though it can take a few days. I have had some episodes that

Apart from a whiplash injury a while back most of these were caused
by poor ergonomics, sitting too long a a computer hold

Not sure if this will help in your case but it works for back pain and

I have emailed a friend who is a physical therapist (a good one) for any

It might be a solution but I need something now rather than later. Later is
nice, but by definition it's not now. :)
The pain is rather constant but is flowing from high to very high every few
seconds. It's like a tide. My senses at work, interpreting the sensations in

Sounds silly, but acupuncture by a legitimate expert is phenomenal for pain
management.
Also, some massage therapists can find and alleviate such points. (But
others just poke them and make it worse - your mileage will definitely vary)
Is the pain constant, or aggravated by movement?
