If you are also using IIS, then that maybe the process that is locking your files. I'm not sure if this is fixed in IIS5.0, but in 4.0 any file that is opened via the web via IIS, has a (60 second) lock on it. You'll get the access denied error if you try to delete it. Here is some more info: h
