(although that's not a requirement and may be different for other feed
formats). How aggregators handle URI changes often differs, but I

Ah, it's a custom CGI variable coming from a custom http header.
Someone has used cfheader to create a header to say that the request
came from ajax. Nice idea (although don't rely on it as it can be
faked).
