We're running CF 6.x and the variable CGI.HTTP_REMOTE_USER works fine. We've installed CF 7 on a test server and CGI.HTTP_REMOTE_USER won't resolve anymore. CGI.REMOTE_USER works fine but we've got about 500 pages that use CGI.HTTP_REMOTE_USER. Is there something missing on our test server (different Java version?) that's keeping this old variable from working or did Cold Fusion actually trash this variable in V7? Help please - I'm getting desperate.
