Well good. That is encouraging to hear. I was hoping people would say mx7 is
more robust and faster. That is why I upgraded.

In CF5.0 there is a log file called cfadmin.log that tracks all changes to the
server configuration. There doesnt seem to be one in mx7. Is this feature
handled in some other way, or is there a way to enable this type of logging in
mx7?

I am trying to setup my 404 handler in CFMX 7 and cannot seem to get it to

Does anyone know how to avoid or workaround the bug in CFMX7 in cfdocument that
causes images to be randomly enlarged?
It is supposed to be fixed in the Merrimack release, whenever that comes out.
Has anyone discovered a way to prevent this tag from screwing up images?
Is there a schedule for when hotfixes will be available? Anyone know when the
Merrimack hotfix will be available? Thanks.

Mike,
You asked for an example of search not working right. Well try finding my
original post from a week ago. I cant.
Perhaps you could have a separate search that queries your db directly like you
used to have at one time, so we can find stuff? Like searching by author or
subject or message.
What are people using for printing to pdf for cfmx7?
I am in the process of upgrading from cf5 to cfmx7 and just finished migrating
all the broken cfgraphs to cfcharts only to find out that cfdocument doesnt
support cfchart. So, I need an external solution to printing the screen to PDF.

I am upgrading from 5.0 to mx7 and just ran the analyzer. One of the

Does this mean you can no longer use any group by or any aggregate functions on

Anyone know of any performance comparisons between the new version and previous

The data is UTF-8 (sorry for the misnamed subject).
The cf code and the php code do the same thing:
set var1=utf8 thai string
set var2=utf8 ukraine string
display var1, var2 to screen (cf5, php both work)

Hi,
I am currently using ms access with a growing 20mb database that I need to upgrade. My
initial plan was to migrate over to SQL 2000 because that seems to be the most
painless (except for price). I am wondering if it would make more sense to migrate to
an open source db: mySQL or postgresql.
thanks for all the info. I went ahead and installed apache on my win2kpro and I'll
give that a whirl.
