I like http://coldfusiondocs.com/app/, it has both ACF and Railo
(although CF 9 stuff isn't there yet).
I've found that cfquickdocs is not accurate when doing broader lookups.
For example, if you search for array, you'll see it only brings back
items that start with array. Things like
Eric, you can use the function category dropdown if you want to
filter that way instead of enter the text it starts with.

Not familiar with that site.
But you could always use http://www.cfquickdocs.com or http://cfmldocs.com/ ,
both of which contain CF9 docs

You should probably consider using http://www.cfquickdocs.com/cf9/
Has access to 7, 8, and 9 docs.

Does anyone know if the creator
cfquickdocs.com is a similar concept and it has modern docs. I'd
imagine cfdocs.org was probably abandoned if it's that old, quite
likely because cfquickdocs is around now.

Can someone point me in the right direction for moving the CFIDE and CFDocs

Just copy them somewhere else, safe.Specifically the /cfide/administrator/ folder and its children has to go.Same with the /cfide/cfdocs/.
If you want to use the CF administrator copy them back.No need to restart the server.
You can even use a batch file to make things easier:
c:
cd\
md c:\tee
Is there any way to automatically determine where the cfdocs directory is
in CFMX?Seems there's nothing in the registry any more.
This is for a tool not running in CF so I can't use any cf variable or
anything to determine mappings or locations.
Thanks,

Thanks for the suggestions.
With CF5 I think there are registry keys that tell you where the CFIDE is
and cfdocs is relative to that, I'm mostly concerned with CFMX.
I'll check out the uninstall option.. there must be a path to the uninstall
file at least somewhere (not in mine since I'm using

Wouldn't advise it granted some templates on the CF admin are probably dependent on
the directory they are located in. However what you can safely do is slap NT
authentication
You can do what we do here.
Put the cfdocs and cfide directories in a directory other than wwwroot(or
what ever your root directory is) and then map them virtually. That way
you can still access them through the browser but you don't have the same
security problems. You can also add ip
