Anyone else having problems with Priceline?
The website got hung up in a loop on my
request last night (it didn't consider the
name of my favorite movie: Blazing Saddles,
to have 4 characters in it), and without a
request number you can't get anywhere on the
web or phone assistance.
Very good
I used Priceline for that e-commerce conf and got a room at the Marriot for about
$50...

Several people who went to the e-commerce meeting in Rockville a couple
of months ago used priceline and got some pretty good deals on both
flight and room ($80 a nite for the Rockville Marriot). For me
priceline is just a little too much like gambling. I stayed in
Gaithersburg at a Sleep Inn
John,
I'm sure you can find better deals. The conference hotel is right on the
Metro, so you can stay almost anywhere in DC. Heck, for $200 I'll rent you
my apartment which is only 6 blocks from the conference.

I always stayed in Rockville on Rockville Pike at an
inexpensive hotel (Capitol something?) 2 blocks South of
the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission HQ, which is
across the street from a metro station. It caters
to government/military who don't have large travel
budgets.
best, paul

Also you may want to look at some of the hotels in Maryland or Virgina.
With the DC Metro System relatively close to the hotel, it may be an
advantage to stay somewhat further away.
