Which Anti-virus software and how is it configured. It is possible to
configure your anti-virus software to not slow down your machine (too much).
For example, if you scan changing files, the web logs will get a lot of

Don't scan log files. Revoke all execute priviledges (even for
localsystem and administrators) and you will be fine.

No, not really, unless:
1. you allow HTTP or FTP file uploads, or
2. you allow developers to access the filesystem directly through Windows
