Tomcat is a servlet container. It is a "true" J2EE server to the extent that
it supports parts of the J2EE specification such as servlets and JSPs, but
it is not an EJB server

I came across this article the other day (

which talks about deploying the coldFusion server on Tomcat. It was my
understanding that Tomcat is just a servlet/jsp processor and is not a
full j2ee server. (ejb's etc.) I
