Dave had the info. The Macromedia Flash Player 7 contains a single video
codec, Sorenson Sparc, and can directly render SWF, FLV, MP3, JPG, and
maybe a few other media formats.

There are lots of tools out there that'll convert movie files to .FLA
format, which are playable using Flash most of which also include a
player module. Beyond that, I dunno.
