Or more importantly, how do you stop a CFTALK loop. I think we have a tremendous pool of resources at our disposal to fix the problems with this list. It is just a matter of someone taking the reigns of leadership and plugging in the pieces. Here's where I complicate it unduly. <cf_openthoughts> I often thought that what would be perfect to create CFTalk more as a website than an email list. (or rather have a discussion forums with multiple points of access, which includes www, nntp, email. I also thought that more of a knowledgebase feel would be good. Search on topics, rank the answers, and publish Best of Breed solutions. Build the site Open Source. Encourage Open Source project management and participation. Offer the site on a syndicated basis. So that development companies could provide a branded Intranet (or internet) face to the discussion. Maybe even a filtered face. That might also help with distributing the workload to drive the email participation. There are tons of pieces out there. just need to be plugged. So what do we need to do? Identify the pieces, and personalities. And build it. They say the most important ingredient to a an open whatever project is the personality that is going to bring it together. And, the product, even if it is crappy, close enough to a production state that people will use it. I would say. Let's get the personality. Let's piece together the product. Let's build it. I bet you, if we said, who wants to be a syndicated affiliate of the New cftalk, we would have at least 30 sites willing to participate within the hour. have we ever talked about revenue generation to fund the community? strictly on a cover the costs and pay for the fun basis. </cf_openthoughts> E ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Archives: http://www.eGroups.com/list/cf-talk To Unsubscribe visit http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists&body=lists/cf_talk or send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with 'unsubscribe' in the body.
