I didn't know CFMX 7 used OSCache. (open symphony's cache product - www.opensymphony.com).... Last night I was playing around with it (I'm releasing a CFC shortly...) and found that the latest version of their JAR I added to the classpath via the CFAdmin JVM settings wasn't recognized by CF... Couldnt figure out why certain methods weren't present.
So I went to the cfadmin and it turns out that it's already sitting there earlier in the CF classpath <CF-path>/runtime/../wwwroot/WEB-INF/cfform/jars/oscache.jar; The question is: is this particular version required by CF? The newer version has more functionality, and I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried replacing that JAR file, or whether Adobe/Macr folks have tested later versions of the oscache library with the runtime to see if it is compatible? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Create robust enterprise, web RIAs.
