Oh, you know, since about 5 or ten years ago :-)
It's just code - you can compile it anywhere.
Cygwin even have a cute little set of packages and a management app for adding
and removing them.

How about IMS (http://www.coolfusion.com)? It's a CF-based POP mail server,
it's fast, and the House of Fusion lists run on it.

Personally I use SmarterMail on my own mail servers, sitting behind the open
source ASSP antispam gateway. Takes some jiggering to get it to work like
that. Among other things you have to use a separate mail server for CF. I
would have bought IMS_SE for that if I didn't already have an IMail
I use XMail:

It is open source, cross-platform, and relatively easy to configure and
administer. There are lots of free plugins available for Windows installations,
including A-V filters for popular A-V programs, and a very cool program called

Cedric,
We've been using MDaemon in our department for a long time. It's fairly
inexpensive too if you don't have a whole lot of accounts.

We use MailEnable Professional. It does what we need and is getting
better all the time. The standard version is free though I would
suggest the Professional version which is only a couple of hundred
dollars. It has gotten much better recently with its new flitering and
SPF options. The only

We are getting ready to set up our server and need a mail server package.
Anyone have suggestions? Running Win2k, 733mhz, 512meg ram. Would like to
stay under $1000 with unlimited email accounts.
Thanks,
Brad
