Maybe cfexecute or xp_cmdshell and the dos 'date' command?

Well if you know a little C++ you could probably do a CFX tag that will do
what you want. COM objects should be able to as well (you can develop to
access the windows API from there) but you won't be able to in ColdFusion in
a way that's documented.
